Cherneka Johnson puts her undisputed bantamweight crown on the line against former two-weight world champion Dina Thorslund in Florida on Saturday.
Johnson (19-2, 8 KOs) defends her WBC, IBF, WBO and WBA titles against Thorslund (24-0, 9 KOs) at the Caribe Royale in Orlando.
The Australian champion won the belts with a ninth round stoppage of Shurretta Metcalf last July and successfully defended for the first time with a dominant points victory over Amanda Galle in December on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s demolition of Jake Paul.
Thorslund is a seasoned operator having previously reigned as both bantamweight and super bantamweight champion.
The Copenhagen native is unbeaten in 24 professional bouts and moved up in weight to claim the WBC interim featherweight title in January, but returns to her old division in a bid to dethrone the 31-year-old.
